once and a while it will happen
when your heart goes and speeds up
when your rhythm for life is given a boost
when you think you will die but you must
figure your mind isn't working
your logic has taken a rest
when the most of life is given to love
when you give every day your best
its infatuated desire...sometimes
its passion with bungee digress
its thinking of days and energies given
the times when you try to impress
this mystery giving your heart a boost
the awe of the day waking up
the way that your nights glow with the moon
the times when you can't get enough
of glowing and spontaneity
your heart surely stops with each breath
just looking into the eyes of your love
gives goosebumps all dewy and fresh
passion is calling each moment
every minute is longer and lives
for days when love came to knock on your life
each pleasure you wanted to give
it makes a lifetime of memories
tt gives such meaning to us
the times when we give into our heart
then live for the love that we trust.
We were born to love, It's so sad that the true beauty and passion seldom lasts.I think most of us are loved just enough to hope for a love that will last forever, and every new love that finds us helps us remember all the joys of being truly cared for in the past. A very meaningful and intense write. Pierre.
How bloody clever that is dear Susan. Sometimes you stop my breathing.
You are a woman that loves life and its mysteries, a woman that has tasted suffering and lack, but still has chosen, through all of it, to continue to edify and nourish those around you with the wisdom, and love, and creative food, that pours from your soul, through your pen.
Soulful write that breathes with a life of it's own as it pours forth from a loving heart and a thoughtful mind. I can picture sitting in a cafe somewhere sipping expresso and telling me these thoughts as your mind wanders throught the past to reach the future. Beatiful Dear Susan, beautiful.
Wonderful poem that flows very well when read. Amazing photo as well. Enjoyed both!

Nice candence and nicer thought which went into the construction of this fine poem, Susan. Don't usually comment on photos(ug) accompanying poetry, but I can's leave without saying how nice the Spanish embroidery makes me feel.
Note: Since my husband's cancer surgery 4/25/05, this book content has been integrated into the public speaking content for audiences interested in a sassy approach to personal and/or community awareness events. Another chapbook on intimate love poet
