Poem Artwork

In regressing here this evening
Thinking over days gone by
Living life with dignity
Taking stress in stride
I've found that unimportant things
Were given up to chance
For details are a memory
I settled for a slow dance
To taste the heady passions
To smell the blooming flowers
To climb a tree when I chose
Get soaked in April showers
To take a trip to Europe
Having never left my home
With a Gypsy spirit antsy
My curiousity roamed
I met the rich and famous
I felt the desert air
I tripped the light fantastic
Because I have no fear
In case you might be wondering
Why I took such chance
Those details now are memories
When I opted for a slow dance.

Ahh, fellow gypsy here is in love with your poem. I might even print it out and put it on my wall so when I wake up, I'll remember to choose the slow dance, too :)

Most of us spend our whole lives long in search of a home. You make wherever you are and whoever you're with your home and I admire you for that. Love this Pierre.

so much can be appreciated when the dance is slow and the glow from within you touches all ...

Wonderful Susan. Watching "Horse Whisperer" yesterday. Lady says something like , "this land is all we know for a home, but others carry it inside." Your gypsy soul slowly dancing and always at home wherever you might be is like that. Love this write.

Love the cadence, Susan, it piqued my 'rhythm meter', as for a life shared within poety, always exquisite. I enjoy living others lives, if only for a moment, yours is freely given, which is what gifts are made from, Essence. Or, I guess, Energy.

Slow dance is delicious and the painting expresses so well the melting and merging of the lovers. Dance to the end of time, Susan!

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
