This is dedicated to my father and sister who are out there riding the tails of meteors and skeet shooting those falling stars. It must be one heck of an adventure.

Poem Artwork

Tonight the sky is overcast
I couldn't find your star
It was then that I paniced
And I wondered where you were
There are moments in my lifetime
When my passions are layed bare
My emotions run with shadows
And restlessly I dare
To taste the dreams of ventures...
In the realm of the unknown
And fly into the heavens
To finally seek a home
Where you are there awaiting me
With arms extended wide
To sit with you and ponder
Should I stay up here and ride?
I could catch the tails of comets
Ride through the Milky Way
Say "Hello" to Orion
Then be on my way
Passed the planet of Venus
On to Jupiter and Mars
Dust the Cosmos with my laughter
Put more twinkle in the stars
I could swing from wings of angels
I would tickle all their feet
Tie their hair up all in tangles
Then gently fall asleep
With the wings of heavens shadows
As my dreams take me to Earth
I would waken with the laughter
Of life and all it's worth
I thank the world for all that's good
As I pray with all my might
I can hear your laughter echo
As it touches me tonight.

this is true communion of loving souls who are so deeply connected their beings touch and share together out into the farthest flung reaches of the universe. Love the night vision here, Susan, that speaks of touching life beyond the ability to see and beyond the veil. And the exquisite lightness of touch and laughter speak of bonds which know not the sorrow of distance or the pain of separation. Truly inspired and inspiring.. a real joy-bringer. TY Kate xx

Susan,

A most beautiful rememberance and dedication to loved ones gone, yet not gone: in the skies above, in your heart, in gentle words: thank you, I concur, one of your best.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Susan, what an amazing poem...full of humor, vivid images, a questioning voice, sadness, and loneliness. This is heart rendering...you brought a sadness to life by putting a little humor and majestic to life. I loved this!!!

Susan

A most delightful and fully satisfying poem, that quenches the insatiable thirst of the weary traveller on the dusty road of life.

Quite simply breathtaking !

And quite simply it is not our choice or design, on how it pans out for us !

When you look out in to the vastness of space on a moonless night, the creation does blow your brains away, and knowing that in the next decade or so our bodies will be ash, yet our Spirits will be soaring within Gods creation too..
A very mature and beautiful poem....

An all-time bestest... even for you. An amazing string of just the right words in the correct order! (Heavenly arranged? The line that stands our for me: "...Put more twinkle in the stars..."
The whole thing is just a sky-sweeping pleasure, and it's going in my pleasure trove (whatever that is).

A wonderful poem, and a very heartfelt tribute to your two meteor riders, Susan. And I bet you can hear their laughter echoing in the night sky.
