Down on this mean cold earthly planet,
looking up to the sky wondering if there's better in it.
With no wings to fly,
no way to gravity defy.
Wanting to soar like the bird up high,
barely making it as the days go by.

Thanks for the flight,
giving me my wings of might.
I may be down,
but through your vision I soar around.
Life is more of a venture,
as my soul explores to adventure.

The God's and the Angels await,
the devil can no longer dictate.
It's better to be up flying,
than to be down here hateful and dying.
Put your wings of gold upon my chest,
Lord knows I've done my best.
