For some,
facing the truth,
can be worse than
pulling a tooth.
Before I faced
my own,
I kept burying it
like a dogs bone.
Every now and then,
I'd uncover it again.

I never chased
it quick,
avoidance was
the trick.
Finally it came
full bloom,
I never ran from
the gloom,
stood strong
in the room.
Facing up really
wasn't that bad,
getting use to
it at times sad.

Truth may be the
light of the world,
but knowing it can
send you on swirl.
Conscious makes
a good guide,
but it may still
want to hide.
A world
of fantasy,
may keep one
in ectasy.
I know quite a few,
who want face up.
They seem happy,
walking around
corrupt.
