Many times life can be a thrill,
other times it can be a chill.
What we never know is the deal,
or if we'll have to take a pill.
One day we can be up,
the next day down corrupt.

Yesterday I was up strong laughing,
today my back has me down halving.
My spirits are still good,
so I guess I'd better knock on wood.
Seems the termites beat me to the wood,
to them it must taste good.
Later on for their nutrition,
I'm not really into superstition.

The buzzards and vultures
are circling in there brood,
seems they're after some food.
Then again I don't know,
I'm just not interested in
being their chow.
The vultures can go on preying,
I have no immediate
plans of decaying.

Hopefully that's the deal,
not to be a vulture meal.
Being bird food
to me has no appeal.
Neither am I in a hurry,
for a funeral bury.

One
