Some of us do it and some don't

Poem Artwork

I really don't know if there is a truth,
other than it's part of my thing.

Some of us do it,
and some of us don't.
Many of us will
and many of us won't.
Poetry is about verse,
no one has to have
the rhyming curse.
But for me,
each day it gets worse.

Rhyming too me is a game,
but
I love not doing it the same.
I do not consider it a crime,
if I do not rhyme.
Verse doesn't have too rhyme,
too heart and soul chime.

I do not alarm,
at anything people poem.
Some like too express,
word and verse address.
For many reasons,
no matter the seasons.
Society gave poetry its name,
we add its burning flame.

Or a cold house,
may be missing a warm heart.
A warm heart,
might heat a cold house.
Poets decide their own fate,
serve it on a cold or hot plate.

This has a nice "beat" to it, Grady; and your intentions come out clearly via your verses. Thank you. Love and peace,

Poets decide their own fate. But occasionally fate has a hand in it. In my case I rarly rhyme my poems for one simple reason, since my mother language is not English I would be afraid that what may rhyme to me may not rhyme to others since my pronounciation is not authentic. Victor
