Some people I like, some poets I like, some writers I like. Lifes a love hate affair, just to clear the air......
I've got to start with people, without people there would be no poets or writers, or anything as far as life is concerned, this I've learned. People fit in the f 'd up, and the not so f 'd up categories, along with their life stories. No one's perfect, but we do have stone throwers. They show up with their boulders, can't hardly carry them on their shoulders. Let he without sin, cast the first stone in. They'll start tossing, followed up by their bossing. They'll try and pull rank, even when they stank.
Quite a few people can be a pain in the azz, you hope they go on and pass. Then some can be a blessing, giving love a great dressing, instead of making life more depressing. I love kind considerate, loving people. I hate pompous arrogant jerks, they offer no good perks. But they will help us grow, fast and not slow. Nothing they do will be pleasing, not even their teasing.
This brings me to, the poets and writers, word and verse uniters. I never liked writing, didn't like doing it, had no plans of ensueing it. But here I am, live and in living color, doing it for fun and dare, and not the monetary dollar. I love the action, it gives me satisfaction.
I never liked writers, because they did something I had a real problem doing. I hated facing those who knew the word well. I knew they would see, that I was lacking. For years I refused to go on docket, then one day I took off like a rocket.
I decided to face my fear, now I'm here, plan to stay, until my dying day. Good writing doesn't keep me here, it's my strong attitude, I'm man enough to face my fear.
When it comes to my poetic curse, for the same reasons, I feed its cannibalistic thirst. Verse is the perfect place, too suffer put down and disgrace. The truth use to hurt, it still does flirt. But it helps develope strong character, this is what I'm after.
Do I run, or make writng fun? I found out I can take the heat, still keep my seat, and not end up totally dead meat. Shaking in fear because my word isn't accepted, no, I strongly adapted.
Being a good writer is one thing, but developing a strong attitude, rules as the king.

I'm with you, You know that! love you always, Holly
Well-written, friend; and a pox on those who criticize the feelings and words of others. If they do not like it, don't read it and don't comment on it. Well done.
This is a wonderful poem -- this is full of the wonderment of writing as a healer, my friend. If nothing else, writing is that. Somehow, by putting our thoughts, fears, hopes, and even sins down in words right there in front of us, our minds can learn to accept and cope and heal. This is one of your best!
Love,
CJ

"Know thyself and to thine own self, be true." I do not remember who said that (does anyone?), but it fits us. So does your poem. Well done. Right on!
Peace. Joyce
