All around, million dollar lottos, big rich casinos, gold mines galore, enticing the poor, but when are we going to score.

Poem Artwork

Eight hours a day,
please take them away,
it's hard to get rich this way.
I work hard for my pay,
each and everyday.
Every little bit counts,
adds to the dollar amounts.

It isn't my motto
but
Sometime I got to,
win millions in the lotto.
I want the big bucks,
the little ones sucks.
Everywhere there are
dollar signs,
even rich gold mines.

After millions I lust,
having them I must.
The millions ring cherry,
but not by
any means necessary.
Illegal is a definite no,
but any other way
legal is a go.
Peace of mind
can't be bought,
only wisely sought.

In Reno NV, a fellow named John Asquaga came in and he bought up all four properties at a corner intersection. Three of them were already motel with casino floors. On the fourth lot, John built a tower casino property (Nugget). To do this, he easily floated loans (banks back winners in a heartbeat). Two years after the tower was built and running, all four properties were paid off! Two years! And most of this revenue came through the quarter slot machines. When you look at one of these glitzy casinos, totally crowded with bells ringing here and there, you had best know that there is only one winner here - the owner. Wanna bet?

Looks like a proverbial dangling carrot. Of course, if I win..."what's up doc?"(smile)

My guess is that they'll score when they leave this place of deception. The get rich quick idea is nothing but a trap. Well done Grady, and oh, by the way, I finished reading your book and was very impressed with everything you had to say! love ya, Holly

The odds are great indeed against hitting the lottery ... but it's 100% certain you WON'T win if you don't buy a ticket LOL. A great poem, my friend ... makes me want to go buy just one lottery ticket!
Love,
CJ

One,

Once I was told that the odds of the space shuttle landing in my backyard were better than those of hitting the lottery. I haven't hit the lottery yet and the space shuttle hasn't landed in my yard either. (lol)
