As I sit here in this seat, I have reminders of this world of meat. I was cleaning my yard, something tore a little squirrel apart. Ate everything except his tail & rear, what happen was quite clear.
Top of the food chain is man, but the big cats have another plan, they'll even make a meal out of man. In this world of meat, all creatures have to eat. It truly is regrettable, that as a human I'm almost eatable.
At this moment I'm getting ready to eat, my meal wouldn't be complete, without my favorite piece of meat. The animal giving me my tasty thrill, I did not go out and kill. My conscience is clear, even though my steaks are near. In order to survive in this world of meat, man has got to be able to eat. I will not give up my favorite dish, but maybe tomorrow I will eat fish.

Though I'm vegetarian (or so 'they' say).. your poem was - refreshing. It's always good to be comfortable with who u are, as u are. Great works.
Have the chicken barbequing on the charcoal grill as we speak! :)
I love how the flavor of a good briquet savors the juices of those poor bird legs!

One...think about it, a very funny thing, an hungry puma chasing a kangaroo for its next meal. If you do, I mean, think of it, your meat meal will taste better because you didn't the running after. (in California was one time kangaroo meat on the menu)

Loved this write One...sounds like my husband, myself I can live happily without meat, well occasionally I like a burger! But I fry, ccok, bake, and grill meat for him nearly everyday in one way or the other! Enjoyed!
