Everyday's a gift
That is when we
consider the alternative
which is death
or nothing
Americans don't appreciate
most of them get
to eat everyday
Have a roof over
their heads
Drive small or big cars
Life is actually
kind of easy
Least little set back
They lose it
They have plenty
of time to sit around
and think about
how miserable their
easy life is
Some foreigners have to
walk miles just to
get a drink of clean water
and getting something to eat
can even be harder
We have grocery stores
on almost every corner
McDonalds, Wendy's,
Burger King are everywhere
Maybe if we had to
scuffle a little harder
we would appreciate
a lot more and value
the gift of every
waking day
Wise words. I still remember my city cousins coming for a visit and we went to an egg farm. They thought eggs came from a supermarket back room, just happened there, and beans grew in a can. This country doesn't know how to survive any more by hoeing a patch of dirt and growing their own. Every day is a gift, to use and contribute in.
