Money isn't the root of all evil, the lack of money is.
The root of all evil
is man
not plenty of money
in the hand
or not enough to plan
Money is an inanimate
object made
for bills to be paid
Man makes enough
money to burn
but some do not
want to earn
They'd rather beg
borrow and steal
and go against the
creators will
just to satisfy their
greedy thrill
Money has no legs
and feet
alone it can't even
walk down the street
Money can't harm
a fly
unless man picks
it up to buy
Then comes up short
or buys dope to snort
maybe gambles on
a basketball court

Well put. This is a extremely valid point. I might add, though that it is truly not money that is the root of all evil or the lack of money but the LOVE of money.
