Some people are superstitious and some aren't, I'm not. My wife is.

i don't know how long
I'll be staying
before my body and soul
starts decaying

The death birds sing
outside my window
they can't get in though
One fell out of the sky dead
right into my truck bed
but I didn't let it
go to my head
I ignored the superstition
instead
At night I still rest good
in my bed
My wife warns that
when the birds sing out
someone is going
the death route
There is superstitious
writing on the wall
but I'm not superstitious
at all
The birds can sing
until heaven and earth ring
to me it means nothing
But how can you tell the bird is singing a death song. How do you know that's a death song it was singing? You don't know that. I won't worry about it so much! Superstitions are "old wives' tales".
*Whew* glad I'm not supersticious. Usually. Still throw salt over my left shoulder if I spill some, and always wish upon a star ... need to trust in God, who will see us through. An excellent write, GEM.
