The will to live is stronger than the will to die, maybe.

No man can live this life unless he's willing to die For every man there's a special reason why regardless their main objective is to strongly defy Yet every man should know the reason why Adam found out after he bit the apple he knew he'd never live long enough to drink a Snapple The devil knew man would survive long enough to chop the pig for scrapple So pork became part of our eats along with other unclean meats Most of us live to eat when actually we should eat to live Many know nothing of love and forgive Instead of loving romances we take wild crazy chances It seems as though we know we're willing to die but act dumb as to the many reasons why opg

Understood where you were coming from but Biblically man didn't start eating meat till after the flood - not after he sinned. All of us are guttons in some form or fashion.
