People who spread gossip are kind of nerve racking.
A magician can trick the eyes
the devil can come in disguise
Life can certainly surprise
A mans got to be wise
Sometimes we can't even believe
all of what we see
Regardless this is it for me
Oh the rumors people spread
they'll try to infect your head
but we should believe moreso
what we see instead
Even ignore that passed note read
it could also mislead
It could plant a seed
If it didn't meet all my senses
and the eye
I try not to let rumors fly
If I heard it through the grapevine
that you wanted to be mine
we'd have to meet face to face
in an agreed upon place
Don't even pass a note
because even it might not float
