Diabetes loves to meet us, and defeat us. I've been diagnosed.
There once was a sweet
A deadly tasty treat
Why beat us
because it wants to defeat us
A sweet of a thrill
and it will kill
if we don't inject or eat a pill
Once affected life can go down hill
When die beat us calls your name
the sweet has already came
You've practically lost the game
Die beat us has no shame
It will beg borrow and steal
at times it won't let you heal
It cares nothing about how you feel
You can almost forget an appeal
We can defy it
it can be controlled by diet
However diet has the upperhand
because our treats taste so grand
When our treats call
we can fumble the ball
and die beat us will not stall
untill our final fall
