Taking it slow, might be a good way to go. Taking time to think, especially if we've had a drink, or our minds is on the brink.

after giving Eve first glance
He might have been in a
lovers trance
The devil jumped the gun
right on time
He didn't give poor Adam
a chance to figure his crime
He couldn't wait to entice evil
to sublime
Poor little Eve certainly got
too excited
The devil knew he had the
right victims invited
Many of us take off too quick
later on find out we're victims
of a planned trick
One planned by us
or by some other cuss
who might want to fight or fuss
At times we don't know who to trust
but taking it slower might be a must
even for the love that we lust
