It's best not to be bought and sold
on everything we're told
I've been told a lot of things
very little of it flew with eagle wings
It has never got me close to
queen and kings
I was told that it's not over until
the fat lady sings
but for sure the hornet stings

Quite a few people try to tell
some of them even yell
Some of the things they say
could end them up in hell
or walking a lonely trail
Almost every person can talk
but many can hardly spell
Don't brush their teeth the
breath will smell

Listening to others can cost big
but it's ok to listen to the wise man
and not the pig
Be very careful of the cowboy
he might wear a one or two gun rig
Drawing on you could be part of his gig
In life there's always a price to pay
especially for the wrong things we say
Words can lead to action
and for some there can be no retraction
only the need to get satisfaction
