Everybodies been somewhere
The bad places we don't want
to go back there
Things that happen in the
bad places
has a lot to do with the
smile and frown on our faces

As children some get taken
later on as adults we awaken
however forever shaken
We awake to the nightmares
caused by the monster stares
The boogieman under the bed
sometimes will continue to
follow us in our head
The devil is a good tracker
with a grim reaper backer

Some people will break away
only to return another day
Others break free to stay
enough is enough for the price
they had to pay
Before this life is done
very few find a good place
in the sun
they always stay on the run
Running from past decay
that will not go away
