Sometimes I am empty..

Like a shell that echoes nothingness..

Yet my mind is so full..

It echoes ideas that I know I should never do..

Sometimes I feel I am more than one..

Like I have several souls pulling me apart..

One of them is strong..

While the other falls from the start..

One can handle pain..

The other hides away..

One wants to cry..

The other is afraid..

One wants to smile..

The other..

Will not allow..

Each desperately needed

Each and every day.

Each has a purpose..

Each has a name..

Survival is their mission..

Yet one wants to die..

The others take control..

Until the feeling passes by..

Strange to have these people..

That I don't really know..

Strange to have these people..

Sometimes I want them to go..

Just some time to be with my own soul ..

But then who would I be?

Nothing

but alone.

We all are multi-faceted beings, Erica; we all have dicisions to make in life. We are weak and strong, kind and selfish, happy and sad. It is the ying and yang that is all things. This is a wonderful poem. You always dig deep with your writes, deliver a strong message and never disappoint the reader.
