Keeping my head above water..
Breathing in sand..
Swimming in this vast ocean..
Yet drowning on land..
Flying without wings..
No legs to stand..
Waiting for hope..
As she holds out empty hands..
She wants to dream in color..
It is something she cannot do..
Her world is black and white..
Colors never bleed through..
Maybe one day she will capture ..
the sunshine..
In her mind..
Maybe one day..
She will stop living ..
as if she is blind.
She only wants the hope
that dreams can bring..
This dream of color ..
could help her live again.
Until then
she is a..
black and white girl..
Living in a
color drenched world..
Waiting for her turn to
fly..
Into heavens vibrant
skies.
Waiting for God
to notice..
The girl with..
color blind eyes.
This was so beautiful, I loved that last line so much,

Awwww Erica! This is sad and beautiful write! I like how you have used a color blind girl living in a colorful world to describe how this girl feels - everything is colorless around her.
Very beautiful girl....God noticed you the day you were born.......never forget that....for some it just takes a little longer to realize that sweetheart!! OKAY!!
But this is a beautiful COLORFul write!!!
