The old man in the closet was a story my mother told us to keep us out.. She claimed if we saw him he would kill us with the fire in his eyes.. He was destined to live in this closet.. rocking endlessly ..looking at his own reflection in the mirror for eternity .. We are Indian and so fell for this story as a tribal truth. LOL.. At the time.
Old wooden house of pain Where I spent my childhood days Running fast looking back.. No more time for the past.. Have to run Must hide.. Dynamite blast.. to my mind Stay out of my days.. Out of my nights.. Out of my dreams.. Be ready to fight.. Stop haunting my soul.. You ghosts from my childhood.. Just go.. Must go.. Back to the basement of the house we all know.. Back to where these crimes were created.. Do not want to remember it.. Make sense of it.. Debate it.. Just hate it. Go home.. Your home.. No longer mine.. The old wooden house.. Filled with spirits in every room.. Old man in the closet.. Coming to get you soon.. No longer my life.. No longer my fear... Keep it where it belongs.. This house that holds so much frustration anger confusion.. I let you go now.. Child of shame. I let you go now.. Old wooden house of pain.. Back to the past.. Where it all began.
Interesting Even Looks Like House I Was Rasied In,i.e. I'dGo to Mother As 5 Year Old Child & Tell Her I Heard Voices Talking To Me In Basement_
She Said They're Voices Of Dead, Don't Listen To Them!?
Strangely If I'd Paid More Attention To Those Voices I'd Be That Much Further Ahead As They Were Good Spirits Trying To Guide Me From My House Of Hell I Lived In Till 18- Then I Punched my Moose Bastard Father Out For Beating My Mother Nite Before & Retribution My 18 Years of His ABUSE/Beatings Of Me !
This is an "Old Wooden House Of Pain" that made a story for the Poet's life.

Letting go is the answer. Great write! The house does have a very errie look about it. Very clever the way you got the ghost to roam the top of it, through the windows, in the photo.
