You capture so much atmosphere and character as well as evoke a mystical sense of place with some very well-chosen images and phrasing, Mary Ann. I love the exotic lightness in this, underpinned with a sensual allure of intrigue and meaning that draws the reader in. Quite hypnotic! Very lovely writing. xx

Blessed are the fruits of those who embrace perspicuous imagery with such sensitivity. Much is revealed in 18 short lines. IMO, a crystal clear vignette, Lady Mary Ann, replete with the spirit, and smells, and colors, and magic that allow no doubt (in the readers mind) as to the intent of the writer. A great write centered around the folklore of the Hallowed Eve. You have blended just a bit of spookiness and layered this with the mysterious misty eyes of emerald... shining like diamonds with swirls of mist clouding about your lady of mystery.
