Probably because most critters today seem to be much smarter, much more tolerant, and even much more compassionate towards their own kind, than most of we human beings today. Pretty damned sad for us.

Great picture and poem with such an important message. Single mothers should get more respect...I am getting ready to be a single mother and trying to figure out how I am going to support my boys with no support. I admire and respect all single mothers! Take care Andy! :)
