In my hand I've a gun Am I a soldier Shooting school children Does it mean guns are fun Killing people at work Is it really a joke Shooting in a mall... Is this freedom for all Or should someone rethink That the amendment stinks The land of the brave - oh dear Is a nation built on fear Because I'm black Gives you permission to attack There's something in your brain That's insane and you lack American dream A love affair Nation under God Living a mare��

As a nation, we are obsessed with violence and also very fearful of the �unknown.� That makes us cuddle up to a warm gun with thoughts of some kind of protection from all kinds of evils in our own version of the Second Amendment.

It's time we got real and removed violence from our vocabularies and our lives.
