In Somalia people use the narcotic leaf of khat or miraa as is widely known in East Africa. We spend huge amounts of money everyday on the khat leaves but the Islamic courts in Somalia have recently banned the consumption and comercialization of khat because it had created an unstable environment in the country. That was a positive move towards restoration of peace in Somalia.
In the house of disorder only chaos is hatched. So the ban of khat may may to some extent improve the murky situation of this nation. Khat or Miraa consumers can not take part in the reconstruction of their country because they are sleeping in the daytime ane chewing in the night.
