Somalia is drowning. It is nearly washed away by floods after the two main rivers of Jubba and Shabelle bursted to their banks. Sadly enough its leaders are engaged in a war with themselves and their friends in the region are only supplying them weapons to kill each other, What a tragedy.
They call themselves leaders
But speak of war and conflict
When nothing is left to fight over
They call themselves friends
But supply arms and ammunition
When Somalia is swept by floods
They call themselves many names
But no name befits their claims
They are just a hidden shame
Mirrored in the eyes of humanity
Abdi-Noor, I always feel your pain and frustration when you write of these people. You have such a great love for your country. I am envious of that and strive for the same passion for my own country. Keep writing...your words are impacting the world whether you realize it or not! Look at this American woman...you have taught her to love and pray for Somalia, a world away...

Abdinoor, it is sad that when someone tries to do good no one supports them. If I intend to become a warlord for my clan now, I am assured of support by everyone including our neighboring countries, powerful nations and the Somali public.
This is really shameful and thanks for highlighting this shameful practice.
My dear Abdi Noor: What a shame is right--This is all the work of the evil one. He is preying on the uneducated and those with insufficient faith. He is starting conflict just as you start a fight between two roosters or dog fights and the like. Yes, they could wind up destroying each other. That is what war is about--between the good and the evil. It has always been and possibly always will be unless people stop sinning. It seems almost hopeless, doesn't it? 'lil flower
