No matter what happened to Somalia, there will always be Somalia in the Horn of Africa so long as there are Somalis living on the face of this earth.
They have lost their houses
But never have they lost hope
With vigor and renewed vitality
They shall rebuild their nation
Bullets ricocheted through roofs
But never shattered their dreams
They are the people of Somalia
Resilience is their badge of honor

Being a Somali and having lived in the Diaspora since the first outbreak of Somali war, streams of tears rolled down my eyes when I read this poem while at a coffee shop!
It's a mad mad war...has a very devastating impact on Somali people even we brave pain.
Amen! May your country be renewed in hope and established once again with new leadership and may you all live in peace one day soon!

Abdi-Noor, I am glad you have not lost hope. Your strength speaks for all your people, who will survive this time of horror to a new Somalia. I pray for you and all Somalis; and may the news from Somalia show to the world Somalis can never ever be defeated.
