In a recent move by Somalia's government to clean the city the soldiers have demolished hundreds of kiosks owned by poor families in the lowest income bracket. One of them was khadija whose story has been covered in a BBC programme recently.
Khadjia
She is the family breadwinner
She is the hardworking lady
She is the source of income
Her family depends on her
Time had gone against khadija
When her kiosk was flattened
Her hopes have been shattered
In the shadows of misery she wept
Upon her soul havoc had been wreaked
Her source of income had been destroyed
Khadija has nowhere to eke a living
She cannot support her family anymore
