Amun Abdullahi has won the Anna Politkovskaja prize in Sweden for her marvellous accomplishment in the field of radio journalism. She is a reporter at the Somali section of the Swedish Radio -- SR. I have met her in Stockholm two years ago and I found her extremely amazing both in personality and professional capability. She really deserves the Prize which she has not won so easily as she had to fight for her way to success most of the time. Everywhere in the world there are those who wish to obstruct or even stab freedom of expression with a dagger of mediocrity but. She never paid heed to detractors and character assassinators. She has shown courage and dedication to improve her career as a radio journalist. The Prize is named after Anna Politkovskaja, the Russian journalist who was killed in Moscow in 2006 after being critical to Putin, then a President and his policies on the war in Chechnya
