A human tragedy for certain Abdi-Noor. Just as was the killing and wounding of 35 million innocent Chinese civilians at the hands of Japanese soldiers during World War II. The "rape of Nanking" was such a tragedy. 2.7 million Chinese civilians killed by Japanese soldiers. The people of Japan held a lantern march to celebrate Nanking's fall to Japanese troops. The killing of innocent Filipinos and natives at the hands of the Japanese war machine on many tiny islands of the Pacific. The bombing of Pearl Harbor. An unprovoked attack on American and Hawaiian citizens. Nagasaki remembers, and Americans, Filipinos, Chinese and many other nation's innocent victims remember too. Regardless of the tools of war employed. The needless, unprovoked loss of innocent peoples is a universal tragedy. In the case of Nagasaki we still must put everything into the correct perspective and remember who the aggressors were that led to such devastation. It was not the American people.
