Hate me if you want to; I beg that you do.
I cannot fathom loving and losing anyone else.
Everyone leaves, and I’m left with the pain.
It creeps in my soul
Pushing all hope and love and enjoyment aside.
I am a wreck, a shadow of someone who was once great.
I laughed and joked, loved and embraced.
Life takes it all away. It gives and takes.
It feels like it just takes from me,
Slowly leeching all hope and love and enjoyment out.
If you love me, or think you do.
Please stop and just walk away.
I’m not worth the hassle. I never will be.
Not since my heart was stolen away by that beautiful little boy
who slipped from my grasp while I slept down the hall.
