Poem Artwork

The thought of the unknown,
is always exciting.
What you cannot see,
is more essential to you
than what you can see.

But, Oh King! By climbing
the pile of the corpses,
smeared with the blood
of the innocents-
do not seek to reach the summit.

There is nothing up there
-neither fame nor glory,
except the ugly facades
of the blood stained history.

Oh King! Spurred by injustice,
and enveloped by deprivation.
The people are rising up.
The people are rising up.

Ah! The barrel of your gun,
shall be trampled by the martyr’s shoulder.
The vigor of your power,
shall be driven by the people’s power.

Imperialist world order
is falling down.
Imperialist world order
is falling down.

Oh King! By climbing
the pile of the corpses,
smeared with the blood
of the innocents-
do not seek to reach the summit.

There is nothing up there
-neither fame nor glory,
except the ugly facades
of the blood stained history.

This has such an epic resonance to it, Bhuwan, that it is like both a "trumpet blast" and a "warning". It is stark and shocking, but at the same time, gracious and a lament, truly born out of horror and sorrow rather than bitterness and anger. I like the way it would appear to have a prophetic, or "battle-cry" chant to it in it's narrative and construction, although it is profession rather than a militancy that underlines it. You speak with such passion about these torturous issues and yet you do not sound filled with hatred or even a righteous indignation. Only someone of true stature and purity of spirit could accomplish such a feat. That is why your words cut like a knife and are so effective. Because of their lack of vitriol. Stay strong and may justice for your people come soon. Amen and amen. LOL Kate xx

I see this like a poetic Shakespearean tragedy, and the name of the king is Greed.

Bhuwan, this is a powerfully profound composition, my gifted friend. “The thought of the unknown, is always exciting. What you cannot see, is more essential to you than what you can see.” Excellent work. Thanks for sharing it. Take care and be well.

Oh the rivers and oceans of the world's "blood stained history" would drown us all. And we never learn it seems. Powerful write, Bhuwan...Lin
