Poem Artwork

I wake up every night
and chase my blues away
until the Sun shine’s in the sky.
And then I sleep the whole day
dangling your thoughts
in between my arms.

“Forgive me, my mother.
Embrace me in your arms.”
I would like to die as a pauper
on your lap rather than live
as a King, in the distant land.

I promise, I will never go away
there with you, I will forever stay.
And in your salubrious lap,
I will grasp my last breath.

I am coming back.
Mother, I am coming back.
Your love is pulling me,
such is the power of your love.

I am coming, my mother.
I am coming back,
but I don’t know
when would I reach home.

I can read the future
of the world
but not decipher,
the lines of my own palm.

The soil is red with blood
The sky is dark with hatred.
I am in the middle of the revolution.
My eyes are blind, I see no more.

Ah! After knowing my fate.
If you are laughing
only to hide your tears
then it is better to cry.

Then it is better to cry.

Let the tears come.
Let them wash your miseries.
Let them wash your miseries.

But remember, my Mother!
Nothing is permanent,
not even the change.

Mother! Embrace me in your arms,
and give me a gentle farewell.

Holding onto faithfulness amidst confusion is our bedrock of inner stability, Bhuwan! When all else is stripped from us, we will cling to that which to us represents the most reality and permanence. I love both the dependence on the Mother and the "nurture" of the child concerned about her welfare, too. Such depths here: "I would like to die as a pauper on your (salubrious) lap rather than live as a King, in the distant land." - that place in our inner being where we finally understand what it is we would either kill or die for. No farewell can ultimately separate this kind of union. Will seek to catch up with all your news, Bhuwan, and will be in touch shortly. Love and hugs to all the kids, too. Kate xx

Your love and "focus" are made most evident in this expressive creation, Bhuwan. Love and peace to you, my friend.

This is outstanding, Bhuwan. The strength of your spirit and of your convictions are admirable and inspiring to say the very least. Country is very important and securing the future of the generations that follow us, noble, but love of family and our God are the strongest bonds we will ever know. The blood flows from the viens of our ancestors into our own and on to those who follow us. May peace and freedom, one day soon, grace your family and your country. This is amazing work, BRAVO!!
Take care,
Sherry

Dear Bhuwan this piece says it all, "nothing is permanent, not even change." I am touched as I remember my mom prior to her transition and then she died. I imagine an even more gentle welcome one day. Peace, love, and blessings, my friend in this life and beyond.

"Give me a gentle farewell" flows on the river of fraternity to
the lake of true love delivering a message that I read as:
"The only real kingdom is the one within the realm of a family
that sings,'UNITED WE LOVE,TOGETHER WE SHARE, AND HAPPILY WE ACCOMPLISH'."

I salute You, Poet!
