We don’t need Emperor Nero.
We don’t need Maoist’s tyranny.
We don’t need corrupt leaders.
Nor do we need foreign powers,
balancing the equation of our nation.
We are Nepalese, and all we need is peace,
to rewrite our own history.

We don’t need synthetic promises.
We don’t need string attached grants.
We don’t need, “A midsummer Night’s Dream.”
Nor do we need godly prayers just to breathe.
We are Nepalese, and all we need to see,
is the door of the factory open,
and the chimney smoking outside.

We don’t need sword to defend our Faith.
We don’t need religious fanatics.
We don’t need the rainbow of racial disparity.
Nor do we need those who say, Nepal is theirs only.
We are Nepalese, and all we need now
is a bread and butter for all, and unity among us
beneath the heaven’s starry dinning hall.

We don’t need demon –o- cracy
We don’t need the demo of craziness.
We don’t need the sputnik to pierce our core.
Nor do we need a Khukuri to chop Van Gogh’s ear.
We are Nepalese, and all we need
is total democracy, a democracy to solace our dreams.

What a revolution it was!
River Bagmati rose up from her slumber
and swallowed almost all the evils of Nepal.
Ah! But there are yet
mountains to climb and seas to sail.
But, don’t worry, O Mother, O Nepal!
We will scale every Mountain;
we will sail every Sea.
We will cross every barrier,
We will swallow every adversity.
We’re a fighter,
we’ll write our own destiny.
