Poem Artwork

Come, Come O Peace,
the stream of our dreams;
Lean a little on our shoulder, saying!
“I am yours,” caressing our lips!

Sweet, O sweet
fragrance of peace.
Give us some courage to live
in the rugged Nepali hills
on the trance of the Himalayan inn.

O you, the savior
of the burning Nepal!
O you beautiful one,
O peace!

At every step of yours
a rose of life blooms
at the sprouting of the seed
from your lovely feet.

Come, Come O Peace,
the stream of our dreams;
Lean a little on our shoulder, saying!
“I am yours,” caressing our lips!

We all long for peace, even those of us who are far from the places of the wars. The heart wears scars that hunger for peace so they may have time to heal, but it seems peace is a fleeting thing and not left to rest with us for any length of time; so very sad,though true. This is a beautiful, pleading poem, Bhuwan and your words scream those that echo within each of our hearts.
Take care,
Sherry
