Poem Artwork

Time heals nothing
It just formats our brain
And makes it empty again
Deleting the history files
Stored in the memories
Of this disc called mind

Beautiful and wise words.
But sometimes time does heal...or at least we have the impression because we suddenly manage to go on with our lifes.

Excellent, Bhuwan. I've heard that a live brain never forgets, it's just the recall mechanism that goes haywire.

You always get to the nitty gritty
Bhuwan!;-)Time is a continuum which no one understands properly, but it does not have the ability to do anything, people just make up these sayings, and they are passed down through genreations. Just like some fairy tales that are very wrong and can be harmful if thought of that way.You make people rethink what they say, which is good!

Well put! I have always considered my brain an older model that can only hold so much... having to delete information once in awhile to make room for more. At least that's the excuse I give for my senility.

Time heals many things. As for the erasing part, I really wish that could happen. It would be a boon to a lot of people.

Sometimes I wonder about time also. I try to keep everything in perspective though. Your poem reminds me of one of my aunts. She worked hard all her life and achieved, saved her money and the whole nine yards. Then life struck her down. Her money is being enjoyed by someone else now. And her home is also. I think before I let someone take me out of my home at old age when I can no longer take care of myself. As long as I got a finger working. I might burn it. Lets see now, we work hard to better ourselves and in the end we still fall. The perspective here is, we whould appreciate every good second of life and spend our time wisely until that final day. G

Bhuwan, so right! Time doesn't do it - it's what WE do with the time... If we do NOTHING, then, yes, you get the format effect but if we persevere in sorting the issues as they come to light, and continue doing so until they cease to present themselves, then I guess it's more like a "de-fragging" clean up of our souls!
