Poem Artwork

You are kissed
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to thrill you evermore
From the kisses of his love
But yet you think, romance is dead

You are pacified
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to soothe you evermore
From the massage of his love
But yet you think, romance is dead

You are decorated
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to embellish you evermore
From the garland of his love
But yet you think, romance is dead

You are coddled
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to applaud you evermore
From the tenderness of his love
But yet you think, romance is dead

You are fastened
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to hold you evermore
From the devotion of his love
But yet you think, romance is dead

You are loved
By one, who desires
Nothing in the world
But to love you evermore
From the core of his heart
But yet you think, romance is dead

{{{Bhuwan}}} Such romance spoken and the pain of rejection felt. You have a romantic heart, my friend. I hope you find someone to appreciate it soon.

Excellent in form and in content, Bhuwan. It's ever true...unrequited love hurts. Love makes blind and the unloving are blind, too.

Your Weltschmerz drives you to great work. Take heart...

Lovely, rich in meaning. I like the repetitions very much. They enhance the delicacy and the impact.I love the image too.

This is truly beautiful... I wonder why some are so blind to love.. perhaps it is fear... to be loved means we must return love.. both are very frightening.. You are a romantic soul my friend.

Your friend

It is the echo from other heartbeats what tells us romance lives... but that life-creating sound is not always heard, even when our heart produces it. Very beautiful poem in its wistfulness, Bhuwan.
