Dedicated to all the elderly citizens of this world.Listen here young ones, if we don’t love them now, then in future our children and grand children will give us the same treatment. Let us love old folks. After all, because of them we are here in the Earth.

Poem Artwork

I am tired
God, liberate me
I am no longer
Interested in me
Existence for me
Is only a fleeting dream
For my life
Is landlocked
The sea of love
Is remote from me
And as a cat
Plays with a mouse
Till finally,
They eat them up
My fate is masticating me
But, you will never know
This feeling of despondency
Until your own children
Treats you like a refugee
In the very mansion,
Where you used to be the king

Bhuman: This is excellent!! I spent several years working in nursing homes and have cared for many elderly people whose family doesn't even come to see them until they're on their death beds or in their casket. Sometimes the nurse's aides and nurses were the only family they really had. Thanks for sharing this.

Bhuwan, once again you show your beautiful spirit and wisdom in this compassionate poem. If we have no respect for the elders, then we have none for ourselves, for we are all humanity, regardless of age! Bless you !

Oh Bhuwan...how you touched me with this....I just lost my mom this past summer...and when I would go visit her at the alzheimers care center....I saw all these abandoned elderly...reaching out for me...wanting me to be someone who came to see them....it is so sad how we treat our elderly....in China they are respected and held in high esteem as wise.....not old....thank you for this..it is a keeper..bless you.....floria

I'm one of those old ones, Bhuwan, so I know of what you speak. Some take you for granted as if you might live forever. Forgeting that
you may soon depart from them and then they might miss you. Excellent write

How sad this is.
It is too easy to use the excuse I am busy
you are right perhaps we need to look ahead
to someone telling us they are too busy
Good one ..
