"Get on board, get on board, can't you see her coming down the line, take faith hope and charity with you, and leave all the rest behind,
Get on board, get on board, she won't stop here too long...
You'll be half way home to heaven,
Before the Devil knows you're gone!"

Lyrical Chorus from A Gospel Song written in the 80's by A Group called "Bonnie Casey and Daystar"

Dark Days

I see bright purple lights
I know he is here
He has something for me
I  pay attention with no fear

I see a tunnel
I do not want to go in
He beckons me forward
This race I must win

I drift through the darkness
Never seems to end
I feel intense panic
There's no light round the bend

Still urged further onward
Pitch is all my eyes can see
Searching for that light
Please, Please, is my plea!

Suddenly at the end
Of this endless black
I behold deep green grass
No sign of a track

It's not making sense
It's supposed to be light
What's with the grass
Then my journey takes flight

Outside the tunnel
Back to the entrance
I sit atop a train
My mind is in remembrance

Of what the ole train ride means
Metaphorically speaking
Celestial homecoming
After sorrow's reeking

No matter what angle
It all looks the same
This way and that way
The message is plain

I've been through the Dark Days
Come out into grass
Peace is it's meaning
Now I know it's no farce

Still that entrance is close
I can reach out and touch it
I know it's a coming
Though I need not have a fit

Hold on to the carriage
We are going on through
Dark days on the inside
Though at the end....

Tis all brand new.

Why is it that the light at the end of the tunnel turns out to be an oncoming train?

Once we realize that we must pull oursleves into the light, our lives can get on track and we can achieve our dreams. It is always darkest before the dawn, and I believe that very contrast allows us to appreciate all that the light brings to us. Life is a series of yins and yangs and we cannot have one without the other; it is all about balance and finding the goodness in all things. It is not until we accept and forgive the darkness that we can live within the light Excellent write, Ch'eries.

Take care,

Sherry

Oh Ch'erie this is wonderful and offers so much hope to those of us who are just a little frighteened as to what lies ahead. It is not easy to know our time is so short and not know for certain what lies ahead but this poem for me at least offers a little ray of hope. Thank you,
Felix/
