I haven't been able to get my head around any writing since the Horror started on the 7/09/09 here in Australia, but today I will attempt to convey some feelings..In Loving Memory of all who died, and those who lost loved ones.
A Survivor's remark, inspired this title!!

Poem Artwork

Dragon Fire!

It circles overhead, with a determined destination
pin pointed accuracy, delights with salivation

Throws out a lick, where it's prey reside unknowing
soon emerges an inferno, death's wake ever growing

No Time to Run for Shelter
It's full on Helter Skelter

A Tsunami of Fire emerges
Radiant heat forward surges

Razed to the ground

,instantly incinerated

People, Homes, Pets alike,

no boundaries, inundated

Many see destruction coming
Flee, panic stricken, adrenaline pumping

Some make it by the skin of their teeth
others, later will wear that well known wreath

Indiscrimate launches from the Arsonist clown
moves steathily from town to town

Merciless, though it's match is clear
for Winged Angels come, surrounding a certain sphere

Dragon Fire plays monopoly, maximizing in just one day
though sorrow deep, justices shrieks what foul play....

It will meet it's match somewhere, sometime, a very different way!

G'day Ch'erie, This is so devestating, the worst fires in Australia's history, it's fantastic to see though, the Aussie tenacity to help fellow Aussie's, the old State rivalries put aside to help our mates.
Your poem is a wonderfuly written & a great tribute to those who have not survived & those who forever will relive this hell.

Dave.

I can tell you my heart ached and my mind worried about all those who were hurt or perished in those blazing infernos but most of all I worried of you and was so glad to hear you had survived Cherry Pie.
