WORDSWORTH

There’s a cloud
for every lonely head
I saw daffodils; suddenly
I brightened up,
And was uplifted.

I ate my Kendal cake
and felt pretty full,
I brought my bottle
and my cup
A walk in Ambleside,
Wordsworth’s home,
Dove Cottage.

The woolly sheep
and the lakes,
In this part of England
it often rains,
Some poets like
to stay in with a book
when the weather's
inclement
I like being outside
but if there's a heavy downpour
I'm back inside the tent.

Byron's low opinion
of the Lake poets and the fell walkers;
Little Englanders, I suppose,
He's the man for
swimming The Grand Canal
in Venice,
and fighting for the Greeks
He does not walk in Ambleside
with William Wordsworth,
that's no' for him.

You're knowledge and consciousness to some great poets is priceless. Dove Cottage sounds like a wonderful place to live and muse.

But apparently, Byron was not impressed with all of that poetry coming from the countryside of dreary old England.

For what a word is worth, I am amazed that William was destined to be a poet by his real name. Probably teased a bit in school for having that name and showing them that he could be great with words later in life.
