I saw a rainbow this morning that gleamed across the sky

A glimpse of something heavenly, a surprise that caught my eye

  A chance to admire its beauty for the soon the rainbow would fade 

With shades of blue as the scenery, the spectrum of colors were laid

The Artist was indeed skilled, like paint strokes that caress the sky

This glimpse was truly heavenly, a surprise that caught my eye

I come to imagine the peacefulness, with a calm that's so serene 

Its beauty, so breathtaking, yes the things you’d put in a dream

   I’m glad I saw that rainbow, it reminds me of the promise made

 And a chance to admire its beauty before it began to fade.
