Sentimental beauty rare...

Poem Artwork

Mount Washington all glorious within

the Presidential Range.

Your majestic snow capped peak

is seen from far, far away.

Lovers and tourist gaze upon

noble beauty fair.

A snap shot or painting

cannot compare to actually being there!

Tis the coldest place on earth they say,

atop the icy peak.

Its gales may send you flying

like a feather in the wind!

Mount Washington, New Hampshire,

God’s gift to generations.

Adorned in a fiery glow of

autumn leaves,

or the fallen snow of winters dream.

You’re in my heart forever

Oh lovely vision and heritage fair.

I've never been to Mount Washington, but I have been on peaks in cold weather and understand what it must be like to face the elements there.

Your love for the place comes shining through! Now I am curious. It sounds wonderful and terrible and compellingly beautiful. The picture proves it. Nice write. Be well, Kathy
