Magdalene’s Resurrection Sitting up on resurrection hill Easter morning on the way Peering through the smoky haze Curses sliding through her lips. Parade of holiness below Peter, Paul, and Jesus too. Cold barbwire around her heart Watching for her chosen few. Her body hot and open wide Spirit pushing for release Sex constantly on her tongue Peter offers her sweet peace. Old black crow loudly caws The earth begins to move Magdalene stands and spits Her church will always disapprove. Pilate’s hands are washed clean Thunder rolls across the sky She looks down upon the scene Jesus stumbles asking “why?” 2010 © Dayvid Graybill

An alternative piece of poetry with an everlasting message...I love this! To see through Magdalene's eyes in this is Resurrection to those of us who truly think this way of religious imagery. Wonderful poem, Dayvid...the passion intermixes with faith...I'm proud to read this poetry...
