Trying so hard, to see and believe That if I am good...good I'll receive Trying to smile, and not speak the doubts That tug on my lips....and trap in my mouth ...
Trying to grope, with limited hope That I'm a survivor, and that I can cope Trying to fix, what I never broke Telling myself....that I'm not a joke ...
Trying to see, past the dark clouds Trying to hide....myself in a crowd Trying to balance the present and past Trying to break this mold that I cast ...
Trying to find, the easiest path Trying to see.....there's more in the glass Trying to listen.....to hear my own heart
Hoping I'll find......the best place to start...
