While shopping for school clothes the other day My little one had so much to say Her passion for fashion, sure made be grin All the styles she picked out, I once had strutt in!!!
Bell bottoms, tie dye, and Indian beads Skirts that rose way way way past my knees!! Peace signs across shirts of red white and blue Faux leather, and glitter, and herbal shampoos!
Looks like full circle has come smack in my face!!! These clothes look so cool, but I'm waaaaaaaay past third base!!! If I could still wear them, I sure as HELL would!!! Like a rebel in menopause, so misunderstood!
Soooooo Now I wear sweat pants, and my prized DENIM shirt In lieu of tight skirts, and high heels that can hurt!! No makeup for me, I really don't care The lights are all out on my vanity fair!!
LOL--i never liked the look back in the 60s, i certainly don't like it now--my body was never designed to be stuffed in bright, clingy colors. now peasant blouses, i liked. :)

Fun ! Fun! Fun!! It's the Mod squad all over. Sure brought back my days of walking the board ( runway modeling). All the jazzy colors and the prisms that made my eyes boggle. Every print was a test pattern.This is a delight for my memory wonders back to a great time.

Aw, c'mon! Don't believe that for a minute!! You wait, by the time your daughter reaches 13 or so she'll be crying out to wear your fashion-nonstatement clothes and to look as hip and cool as you - let alone as naturally beautiful instead of Miss Barbie! These 70-retro kids treasure the Woodstock-stuff: values and all! At least you're not like me: having a teenage revival and hoping that my 18-year old isn't embarrassed too much by her muttony old mother!!
