HAVING A BAD DAY!
Thirsting to drink from the ocean of life Starving thru fear and denial Pride is the gulch, that divides as the knife Jailing the self by exile
Hasten the arrow, drawn from the bow Shooting straight into the void Silence in ice by frostiest blow Pride is retained.......yet destroyed
Who is the culprit, tormentor of mind Where was the break in the dam Preach thru the conscious devout and maligned Creating the woman........I am
Thief of the spirit, by plunder and scorn Judgment aggrieved and outraged Love's elevation lifts thoughts reborn Tomorrow I'll start a new page
What is the age that your kids realize that YOU are human too and definately make mistakes???

hmmm...not sure i can answer the question at the end...my daughter has been pretty good about that kind of stuff overall...yet, there are moments when she is not as quick to forgive as i would be in reverse. What's up with that??? lol.
... and I bet you just jotted this down whilst feeding the washing machine for the umpteenth time, didn't you?! How I can relate - albeit not half so poetically. And how come you can write in such a high-style and yet remain totally accessible and "in touch" with the more humdrum things in life - and peeps like me!!! LOL You are certainly gifted and unique in this way. As to your question, I would say definitely, in my case, at about two-and-a-half... they have been looking after ME ever since! Trusting to themselves is the far safer option...!! I have always told them not to be fooled by my great age and "older" status... I am just a "grown-up" version of what they are - but with wrinkles and more history that they should avoid repeating! Love the way you have described the brittleness of the inner-self as we struggle with maintaining just who WE are amidst being other people's mother/friend/daughter/partner/spouse and dog owner! You have crafted a luminous shaft as always, here, Anita, that will penetrate many a "dark cell of drudgery". Lady A, these days kids are just like little versions of us...the beauty about their plights is that their mistakes can be more easily forgiven due to their age...but when we make one they hold us up on their pedestal and all this changes...cheer up...at least this episode inspired you to put together this great piece...which reminds dear sweet poet...Adam-ant is waiting naked and eager to help you help him take a bite out of the big red...hehehe...lolol...great poem...Fletcher B

They know already. Their immortal side gives way to whim, adventure and daring and in doing thus....we, as parents...suffer. They finally figure it all out later...when they try on our shoes.
kids are what makes parenting so interesting and fun, not to mention, challenging and demanding! makes me glad i am not a parent in real life; i only have kids in my imagination! LOL and brother, do i ever have KIDS! LOL
