Poem Artwork

Ennui was born one day of uniformity.~De La Motte

Harmonized Ennui

Something delicate lies in the balance
Hence the scales are angled thus
A solution is so simple
As a minus or a plus

Is removal now the answer
To humble angles high
Or additions to the lower
To meet upon the rise

To achieve a balanced wingspan
Afloat equality
Delicacy of balance
Is a harmonized ennui

Hoo Hum

Cryptic poems and myself don't get along all that well, as Peter pointed out. You and Peter make it readable and gives me time to at least think about it. Whatever all that meant, this poem hit the nail on the head, of course that is a "conventional way of thinking," but what works for me, works. Seems to me if it is so boring here at the Den . . .

Special write as only you can do. I find your unique style as refreshing as a sudden unexplainable hail storm on a summer day. Beautiful but soooo unique.

I love your cryptic and intriguing pens...they are a breath of fresh air in the Den...;)
I have always used the principle of " Broken Rhythm " to break up the orthodox and conventional ways of thinking and action...
Rock on Anita
