In Leaves Of Golden Crown
 
A boy was born with curly hair
And a twinkle in his eye
A ready laugh and loving heart
That made the angels sigh
 
Quick of wit yet slow of pace
Born of a twisted limb
Exploring verdant hillsides
As nature sang to him
 
But he could only go so far
Before his body tired
Down the valleys he would limp
Yet struggled on the higher
 
There was a ridge of mystery
He dearly longed to climb
Resting by an ancient tree
And in it's shade he cried
 
If only I could fly above
Free as any bird
Alone he cried in solitude
And yet another....heard
 
He heard a crack, and eerie moan
And looked up towards the skies
While there to his amazement
A limb reached down from high
 
Wooden fingers beckoned him
To swiftly climb on board
On the rise towards paradise
Upward heaven towards
 
On a branch with golden leaves
He sat as on a throne
Padded by soft ivory clouds
Nested in this home
 
He saw the hills, he saw the sea
The ships, the fields and towns
A wooden limb.....and boy of skin
In leaves of golden crown
